From October 23-26, in connection with research for her forthcoming book, Erika George, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, attended the Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) Conference in New York. During that time, she authored a featured guest blog for BSR , “Fast Forward to Full Circle: Collaborating to Change Culture.”

 This year, the BSR Conference celebrated its 20th anniversary. Organizers explained that, “it’s time to push fast forward. Our agenda will provide the practical learning experiences, inspiration, and interaction you need to achieve even more over the next 20 years.”

 BSR is a membership organization of over 300 multinational corporations including Apple, Bloomberg, Coca-Cola, Exxon, Starbucks, Walmart and other global brands. George’s blog entry offers reflections on the role of business in promoting sustainability and promoting respect for human rights.
