Preparing for Practice

Friday, April 5, 2013

The "Preparing for Practice" event features two programs aimed at providing students with information about research and litigation tools and tips, as well as providing students with an opportunity to get practical survival tips from judges, court clerks and lawyers.

Event Schedule:

Program 1: Research Tips and Tools to Help You Succeed.

11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Need to find a case in hurry? Want to track your billable hours on your iPhone? Need a jury selection tool? There's an app for that!

Program 1 introduces students to apps and web tools which can help them succeed as associates and clerks. It also offers practical research tips to help students prepare to perform successful research in a professional environment.

Presented by Ross E. McPhail, Assistant Librarian and Adjunct Professor of Law, and Joanne Vandestreek, Reference Librarian, Utah State Law Library.

Intermission: 10 minutes.
